Study Shows Condoms Don’t Decrease Pleasure
February 15, 2013
When it comes to using condoms, people come up with all sorts of excuses for not using them. They “ruin the mood” or make sex less enjoyable some people say. But neither of these excuses is true. According to a study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, people of all ages reported that sex was still just as enjoyable when using condoms as when not.
So if your partner ever tries to persuade you to not use a condom by using the “It won’t feel good” excuse, tell him or her that’s not true. Sure, condoms require you to sacrifice a few dollars and minutes to go out and buy them, but it’s worth it. Condoms are 98-percent effective with perfect use at preventing pregnancy and are highly effective at preventing the transmission of STDs. So, if condoms don’t decrease pleasure and are an effective safer sex method, then what’s stopping you from using them the next time you plan to have sex?
