Transgender

A term that describes a person whose gender identity or expression does not match the sex assigned to that person at birth. This may include someone who was assigned the female sex at birth but feels inside like a guy, or vice versa or something else altogether. Transgender people may alter their bodies using hormones, surgery, both or neither.
