Title X
Title X, pronounced “title ten,” is a federal program devoted to providing government funding for comprehensive family planning services.
Clinics that are funded by Title X provide confidential health services to teens and adults. (Confidential means only the patient knows about the visit.) They also provide contraception, cancer screening, gynecological exams, screening for sexually transmitted diseases and other reproductive health care for women and men.
Services are provided on a sliding scale based on income, so that teens and adults with limited incomes receive care at reduced or no cost.
