Make A Difference Collage

Sexuality education is an issue that’s near and dear to our hearts. And being educated about sexuality is just the first step in making a difference when it comes to a host of issues related to sexuality.

Just choose an issue below, and then choose one of three ways you can take action from signing a petition to sharing a story with your friends to starting a movement in your community.

However you decide to make a difference, share it with us and on your social networks! Tag us on Facebook! And if you tweet about it, make sure to include the hashtag #SexEtcTakeAction, so we can follow what you’ve done. You might even see your tweet on Sexetc.org.

#ExposeFakeClinics

Lady Parts Justice has been calling out Crisis Pregnancy Centers for their deceptive tactics by writing accurate, specific reviews on the Yelp, Facebook, and Google Business pages for these “clinics.” During the week of October 23rd – 28th, you can bring together some pals, talk about CPCs and who’s supporting them in YOUR state, and then review a bunch online!

Pledge to Talk About Teen Parenting, Sex Ed and More!

One way to make a difference when it comes to teen pregnancy and parenting is to talk about issues like birth control, abortion and teen parenting.  It can be hard to talk about these issues, but it’s so important! Yo Soy is a national campaign that seeks to end the stigma around young parenting, birth control, abortion and sexuality education in the Latina/o community.

Organzie a Clothing Drive for Teen Parents

It’s great that you want to get involved even more! How about organizing a drive at your school to collect baby clothes and other essentials for newborns and infants? You can collect the items and any donations to give to a local or national organization that supports teen parents in need of assistance. Loved Twice is a national nonprofit that provides baby clothes and blankets to families in need, and they have a great guide for how to organize a clothing drive.
