Yuhe (Luciana) Wei (she/her)

Luciana (she/her), 18, is passionate about being a writer for Sex, Etc.! When she’s not editing her high school’s newspaper, conducting technological research to find creative solutions to medical issues or leading the math club, you might find her practicing badminton, reading Victorian novels or going on peaceful walks. Her seemingly contrasting interests in STEM and English allow her to unite logic with language. Luciana believes in the power of words as a way to empower people to understand more about the world. She joined Sex, Etc. because she has always supported inclusivity and diversity. Luciana also wants to use her love of journalism as a way to advocate for more comprehensive sex education. She looks forward to traveling with her family in her free time. In addition to her time in the U.S., Luciana has lived in Australia and China, and she recently visited Switzerland and Iceland!
