Meet the Staff

Vedha Das (she/her)

Vedha, 17, is a driven high school senior in her first year on the Sex, Etc. Teen Staff. She joined with the goal of sharing sexual health information that’s easily accessible to teens. Furthermore, she also wants to learn more herself and lessen the stigma around sex and sexual health. Vedha’s advocacy doesn’t stop at Sex, Etc.; she’s also part of her school’s chapter of the Teen Prevention Education Program (Teen PEP), through which she is trained to teach younger students about sex education. When she’s not working on Sex, Etc., Vedha is active at school: she’s part of the Biomedical Futures Club, Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), Public Health Club and soccer team. Vedha is also a huge lover of the outdoors, including hiking and snowboarding. She’s even getting her scuba diving license! In the future, Vedha would like to become a doctor.
