Sabreen Dawud

Sabreen, 16, is ready to change the world! She says her level-headed, loyal, get-the-most-out-of-life personality sometimes means she has more in common with adults than other teens. When she isn’t fundraising to send food, money or educational supplies to low-income families, both locally and around the world, through her school’s African- American club or UNICEF club, she’s participating in other charities with her dad, like supporting autistic children in inner-city communities. You might also find Sabreen doing makeup. Her makeup business has been boosting people’s confidence for nearly three years! Sabreen writes for Sex, Etc. because she wanted another way to make an impact that didn’t conflict with her schoolwork. During her time at Sex, Etc., she would like to help people be less afraid; open to different ideas, cultures and people; and love others—despite differences in economic status, values or race.
