Meet the Staff

Manish Arora

Manish was inspired to write for Sex, Etc. by his older brother, who was previously on staff. But it’s not only his brother’s influence that inspired him, but also an experience Manish had at the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) national competition. At the competition, Manish’s team used sexuality education to help them respond to the challenge of eliminating major problems in school, like bullying, drug abuse and unhealthy relationships. Manish and his teammates had comprehensive sex ed in their school and used this knowledge to their advantage. It won them first place. Manish specifically wants to write about safer sex, sexting, sexual abuse or assault and how sexuality is represented in pop culture. While devoted to being a member of HOSA and acting as class president, Manish still finds time to play basketball and run track. If he could go anywhere in the world, Manish would go to Hawaii.
