Meet the Staff

Misha’el, or Shi, knows what she likes. For instance, she loves listening to Machine Gun Kelly and eating pizza. “You could take me to a five-star restaurant and I’d still order pizza,” she says. It’s safe to assume that she likes writing for Sex, Etc.—this is her third year! Seventeen-year-old Shi first got interested in joining the staff of Sex, Etc. when she saw her older brother and sister writing and wanted to get involved, too. Outside of writing, Shi loves practicing one of the four instruments she plays or going shopping with friends. Her favorite TV show, Grey’s Anatomy, is what ignited her desire to become an orthopedic surgeon. Her favorite plant is a sunflower—bright and sunny, just like her!
