Meet the Staff

Louis Waibel (he/him)

Louis (he/him), 17, is not just a high school senior, he’s a public speaker, researcher and writer with an obvious passion for change. He is also outgoing, hilarious and very easy to talk to! Louis, an activist for LGBTQ+ folks, has spoken at several webinars, board of education/town council meetings and pride events. He joined Sex, Etc. to continue toward his goal of building sex education that is LGBTQ-inclusive. Louis believes education is the best way to stop harassment and bullying and strives to help make sure others don’t have to go through what he did. Outside of his advocacy, he researches how sexually transmitted infection transmission rates are affected by one’s education and how age, gender or pre-existing health conditions affect COVID vaccination status. He is also an Eagle Scout! For fun, he swims, plays tennis, works out at the gym and hangs out with friends.
