Leslie Hassanein is an eloquent, 17-year-old senior who practically radiates confidence. She’s the editor of her school’s paper, manager of a pizzeria and member of her school’s varsity tennis team. In addition to all of her other responsibilities, Leslie is also an advocate for teen sexual health. She was inspired to apply to write for Sex, Etc. by conversations she had with her peers who were completely misinformed. Some thought girls didn’t have a urethra, others were convinced women urinated from their clitorises. While Leslie is clear that she doesn’t know everything about sexuality, she wants to help her peers access accurate sexual health information instead of having to rely on rumors when it comes to making decisions about their sexual health.
