Meet the Staff

Julia Diaz (she/her)

Julia (she/her), 17, has returned for her second year on the Sex, Etc. teen staff! When she isn’t busy using her voice to help inform teens about comprehensive sex education, she spends time creating and enjoying art. Whether it’s playing jazz on her trumpet, listening to classic ‘70s/‘80s rock like Meatloaf or sewing and embroidering, she always makes time for her artistic side. Julia’s also interested the scientific side of things. She’s passionate about advocating for women in STEM and hopes to become an engineer. According to Julia, spending time with family and friends is the best part of her day, but she’s also sure to pick up favorite fantasy books like The Hobbit when she needs a breather. Julia’s excited to continue working with the teen staff at Sex, Etc. to help open discussions and spread awareness about sexual health.
