Meet the Staff

Jessica Romero Silver (they/them)

Jessica (they/them), 18, is a social butterfly who also goes by “Jessie” and has a way of making people feel comfortable. They feel most free when they have a notebook in hand. When not working at the library, they’re working on their next poem. Jessie cares deeply about reproductive rights and LGBTQ+ issues and is excited to have found an outlet with Sex, Etc. to express themself. They’d like to be a journalist in the future. Jessie grew up having little to no sex education and is passionate about helping put an end to the stigma around sex. A little known fact about Jessie? They’re obsessed with canned peaches and can eat them from morning till night. Jessie is excited to be working alongside other teens who are devoted to sharing comprehensive, accurate sexual health information.
