Meet the Staff

Jack Scala

Jack, 17, originally learned about Sex, Etc. through upperclassmen at his school who were Sex, Etc. teen staff members. Jack joined the staff because of his passion for teens taking control of their own health care. He is especially interested in writing about how teens can advocate for themselves with their doctor. In fact, his future plans include becoming a doctor! Just recently, Jack was a research intern on a study about depression, which he hopes will help teens. Additionally, he currently observes patient care at a hospital in New York. When asked, “What are your hobbies?” Jack replies, “That would require free time!” Once in a blue moon, he enjoys reading, especially murder mysteries; listening to music, especially anything from the Grey’s Anatomy soundtrack; and cooking. He is excited to contribute to Sex, Etc. this year!
