Isabella “Luna” Gonzalez, 17, might just be the loudest and most jubilant writer on the Sex, Etc. teen staff. She describes herself as “enthusiastic, passionate and hilarious.” Isabella was inspired to join the Sex, Etc. teen editorial staff by her passion for writing, the idea of becoming a published author and her high school’s lack of thorough sexuality education (her class only covered “the bare basics of sex ed, like sexually transmitted diseases and teen pregnancy”). As part of the teen staff, she hopes to write about topics such as dating violence and consent, as well as LGBTQ issues. In her spare time, the aspiring novelist enjoys re-enacting the hit musical Hamilton (which she has already seen three times), listening to alternative rock albums and “spreading positive vibes.” Her favorite school subjects are chorus and theater.
