Meet the Staff

Gillian Hatcher

Gillian, 17, has the answers to all of your questions. She is a self-proclaimed collector of facts, and she can explain why a centipede will never have one hundred pairs of legs. One day, Gillian aspires to be an entertainment journalist and live in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village. She also hopes to write her autobiography entitled (Exasperated Sigh) and live with her celebrity crush Esther Quek, a fashion director from Dubai whom Gillian describes as being “both life goals and wife goals.” Right now, Gillian can be found listening to punk-pop and alt rock and eating anything Buffalo style. She’s focused on being both the editor-in-chief of her high school’s newspaper and a staff writer for Sex, Etc. She loves every part of working on the magazine and especially wants to inform teens about bi-, trans- and panphobia. Gillian is sad to be leaving Sex, Etc. after she graduates high school, but she promises to visit often and says that the magazine “isn’t getting rid of me.”
