Meet the Staff

Ellie Tamir-Hoehn (she/her)

Ellie (she/her), 16, joined the Sex, Etc. team because she’s supportive of education for all. She believes there’s no such thing as taboo topics in comprehensive sex education and wants to help break down those stigmas. She also thinks it’s important to share information that most teenagers don’t have access to. In addition to being on the teen staff, Ellie is a ski racer for the New Jersey National Team! She also loves to read; her favorite genres include fantasy, dystopian and true crime. She even bound a book by herself! Some fun facts about Ellie: her favorite color is forest green, she has nine chickens and she knows how to ride a unicycle! Ellie loves math and is interested in a career in engineering in the future. When she’s not busy skiing, book binding or playing with her chickens, Ellie loves to dance (especially ballet) and watch her favorite TV show, Criminal Minds.
