Meet the Staff

Candace Pinto (she/her)

Candace  (she/her), 17, is in her second year on the teen staff. She is a driven individual who believes that everyone has the right to a comprehensive sex education. Candace has seen the impacts of when communities are more shame-based when it comes to sex and sexuality and wants to use that experience to educate others on sexual health. She believes that everyone has the right to sex ed, and that it’s as important as any other form of education.  During her free time, Candace enjoys reading, home decorating, tutoring and performing Indian dance. Candace is also proud of recently receiving her Seal of Biliteracy for Spanish. She dreams of becoming a health care administrator in the future. In addition to her achievements, Candace also has a soft spot for country music and dinosaurs!
