Meet the Staff

Candace Pinto (she/her)

Candace (she/her), 16, a passionate and thoughtful junior in high school, is excited to be part of the Sex, Etc. staff. Candace strongly believes that all teens should have access to a supportive, open-minded learning environment when it comes to sexual health and hopes to provide that through her writing. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, hanging out with friends, playing Sims 4, and listening to music “99 percent of the time.” Candace is the youngest of six children and loves spending time with her siblings. Although she is the extrovert of the family, she also finds comfort through chilling and watching TV, especially her go-to show, Gilmore Girls. After high school, Candace would like to study psychology, before pursuing a career in family medicine.
