Meet the Staff

Brooke Xie

Brooke is a 15-year-old high school sophomore in her first year at Sex, Etc. She hopes to write about relationships as well as the importance of LGBTQ issues and how they are not well represented in sex education. Outside of being a teen staff writer, Brooke enjoys dancing, including ballet and traditional Chinese dance. At school, she likes learning about world history because she’s interested in human interactions and what has made the world what it is today. Brooke considers herself an extrovert and describes herself as talkative, dramatic and energetic. After participating in Model UN at school, Brooke became interested in immigration law and one day hopes to be a lawyer. In her free time, she enjoys watching her favorite TV shows, Grey’s Anatomy and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
