Meet the Staff

Anjali Surti (she/they)

Meet Anjali (she/they and using “she” in this bio), a 16-year-old with a passion for writing stories and poetry. As a Sex, Etc. staff member, she wants to write about the importance of consent in relationships and normalize conversations about sexual health among teens. In her free time, she watches movies, listens to music and hangs out with her friends, who call her “Anj.” She is also a part of the theater company at her high school. Anjali is optimistic about the future of sex education, but she finds it hard to read about things like the harmful effects of the “Don’t Say Gay” bill in Florida. She feels it’s more important than ever that young people have dependable, medically accurate sex ed. This is Anjali’s first year writing for Sex, Etc., and she’s super excited to be a part of the team!
