Meet the Staff

Anjali Surti (she/they)

Anjali (she/they and using “they” in this bio), 17 and a high school senior, is in their second year on the teen staff. After finding out about Sex, Etc. from a friend, they were inspired by the mission of increasing sex education, especially for adolescents. They wanted to join Sex, Etc. in order to increase teens’ access to sex ed that’s inclusive and not just abstinence-based. Anjali is optimistic about the future of sex ed, and wants to help normalize conversations about sexual health. While Anjali is a member of many extracurricular clubs, their absolute favorite is the theater program at school. As a member of the theater company, they serve as Vice President, and have also stage managed several shows through the years.
