Andrea Ladia (she/her)
Writing for: 2 years
Second-year staff writer Andrea (she/her), 17, is a passionate sexual health advocate. Among her goals are promoting health equity, encouraging emotional well-being and educating teens on sexual health topics not covered in school. At school, she is president of the Drama Club, secretary of the Medical Club and an officer in Girl Up (an organization promoting equity for women). Additionally, Andrea can often be found sustainably gardening, with the results going to food-insecure families and food pantries. She loves to read and has recently gotten into translated books such as Notes of a Crocodile by Qiu Miaojin. Andrea’s creativity shines through when she’s crafting or journaling. She loves to express herself through chunky jewelry and shoes—and let’s not forget about her intricate press-on nails. Eventually, Andrea would like to work in a field where she can improve equity in health care.
